  • Tools: none
  • Difficulty: Easy

If you just took yours out of the box, follow these four steps to start your first cleaning session.

1. Fast Assembly

  1. Click the Nozzle: Place the floor nozzle on the ground and press the main motor pod down onto the neck until it clicks.
  2. Insert the Wand: Slide the metal wand into the top of the motor pod.
  3. Attach the Handle: Snap the handle into the top of the wand.
  4. Connect the Hose: Plug the end of the hose into the back of the pod. You’re done!

2. Setting Your Floor Type

The power switch on the NV360 has three settings:

  • 0 (OFF): Power is completely off.
  • I (Hard Floors): Best for tile and hardwood. The vacuum sucks, but the brush roll does not spin. This is safer for delicate wood finishes.
  • II (Carpet): The brush roll spins at high speed. Use this for all carpets and rugs.

3. Emptying the Extra-Large Bin

The NV360 has a massive bin, but don’t let it overflow.

  1. Pinch the two silver latches near the handle of the dust cup.
  2. Pull the cup out.
  3. Position it over the trash and press the Bottom Release button.
  4. Give the cup a gentle shake to release any trapped pet hair.

4. The 30-Second Maintenance Check

To keep your NV360 running for years, do these two things every time you finish vacuuming:

  • Check the Brush Light: If the light on the base is Greem, you’re good. If it is Red, there is something wrapped around the brush roll.
  • Unwind the Cord: Never pull the cord to the very end of its length. Leave a little slack to avoid damaging the internal wiring.

TIP: The NV360 is known for having very strong suction. If you find it hard to move on your “shag” or thick carpets, make sure the rotating collar on the handle is set to OPEN to let some air escape.
