Filing a Warranty Claim
Bissell’s warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover filters, belts, or damage caused by picking up wet messes with a dry vacuum.
- Register your product: Visit the Bissell website as soon as you buy your vacuum. This makes claims much easier later.
- Keep your receipt: Even if registered, support often asks for a photo of the receipt to verify the purchase date.
- Check for Recalls: Before paying for a repair, check the Bissell Recall Page. If your model is listed (like certain Steam Shots or Multi Reach batteries), you may be entitled to a free replacement regardless of warranty status.
Local Authorized Repair Centers
For heavy uprights, shipping the vacuum to Bissell is expensive.
- Bissell has a network of authorized vacuum shops.
- Use the Service Center Locator on their website to find a shop near you that can perform warranty repairs for free.
TIP: Order Genuine Parts: While “off-brand” filters on Amazon are cheaper, using them can occasionally void your warranty if Bissell determines the part caused motor overheating. Always keep your original filters if you need to send the machine in for service.
